“H2Oh!” (the “app”) is provided by Liangyan Co., Ltd. (rollitinno) (“we”). This policy explains what data the app handles, why, who receives it, and how you can control it. It also covers this website (see the last section).

• The app needs no sign-up and has no accounts; it has no field for your name, phone number or email.
• Your water log and settings are stored on your phone. We run no server that could receive them and upload them nowhere.
• Your location coordinates are not sent to us and are not stored separately by us.
• The app is free and supported by ads. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which handles ad-related data under its own policies (see below).

Data stored on your phone: your water log (time and time-zone offset, millilitres, note), your settings (language, appearance, cup size, reminder hours, monster, usage mode), the map state and map cache (up to about 50 MB of tiles you have viewed), and ad-consent flow flags. This data is not uploaded to us, and the app has no cloud sync of its own.

System backups: the water-log database is set to be excluded from system backups; other settings live in the operating system’s preferences and may be included in your iCloud or Android backup, depending on your backup settings. That is handled by the operating system, not by us. Uninstalling the app does not delete system backups that already exist.

Deleting: in Settings, “Clear local water log” deletes all water entries and the CSV temporary files the app created; “Clear all local data” additionally cancels reminders, removes settings, resets the map state and the app’s ad-flow flags. It does not revoke system location, notification or tracking permissions (change those in system settings), does not delete the ad-consent choice that Google stores itself, and does not delete copies of a CSV you shared to other apps, to the cloud or by email.

Deleting a single entry in the water log removes it from the local database on your phone right away. Uninstalling the app removes the local database too.

Export: in Settings you can export your water log as a CSV (time and time-zone offset, millilitres and any note you wrote). The file is first written to a temporary location and then handed to the system share sheet, to the app or place you choose; what happens to it afterwards is up to you.

The app reads your location only while you use it, and only after you allow it, to find nearby stations and sort them by distance. If you have allowed it, the app may read it once automatically each time it opens, without you pressing the locate button. If you turn on the optional “Weather moods”, the same location is used on your phone to choose the nearest weather station. There is no background location.

Location coordinates are used on your phone only; they are not sent to us and not stored separately by us. You can turn the permission off in system settings at any time; the app still works without it (stations are then sorted from the map centre).

Please note: after locating, the map moves to where you are and downloads that area from a tile service, so the tile service may learn roughly which area you are in (see “Third-party services”). When you tap “Navigate”, the app passes only the destination station’s coordinates to the maps app you choose, not your current position.

It is off by default. Only after you turn on “Save water entries” in Settings and allow it on the system permission screen does the app try to write, each time you log a cup, that cup’s time and millilitres to Apple Health (iPhone, and iPad where supported) or Health Connect (Android).

Only water is written, and nothing is read. The app asks only for permission to write water, never for any read permission, and performs no action that reads data from Apple Health or Health Connect.

Once written, the data is kept and managed by Apple Health or Health Connect, under your settings there and their privacy policies. It does not pass through our servers, we do not receive it, and it is never used for advertising.

You can turn it off in Settings at any time, or withdraw the permission in system settings or Health Connect. Turning it off or withdrawing the permission does not delete records already written. Editing or deleting a cup in this app later, or using “Clear local water log” or “Clear all local data”, does not change records already written either; manage or delete them in Apple Health or Health Connect.

The app uses the following third-party services. They are run by their operators and handle data under their own privacy policies:

• Google AdMob (ads): Google’s SDK may collect, and share with Google, approximate location derived from the IP address, device and advertising identifiers (on Android also the App Set ID), ad data and interactions (such as impressions and clicks), app launches and usage interactions, and crash and performance diagnostics. Purposes include serving and measuring ads, analytics and fraud prevention. On iPhone, the advertising identifier is used for personalised ads only if you allow “tracking”. Where it applies, Google’s consent message first asks for your choice. See Google’s Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services” (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).
• OpenFreeMap (map tiles, fonts and icons): the map downloads the area you are viewing from a tile service, so that service can see the area you look at and your IP address. OpenMapTiles and OpenStreetMap are the sources and licence credits of the map data.
• Taiwan Central Weather Administration open data (weather moods, optional): only if you turn on “Weather moods” in Settings does the app download weather observations for all of Taiwan from opendata.cwa.gov.tw. The request does not contain your location (the nearest station is chosen on your phone), but the agency can see your IP address.
• Maps apps such as Apple Maps / Google Maps (navigation, your choice): when you tap “Navigate”, the destination station’s coordinates are handed to that app, whose own policy then applies.
• Apple / Google (system): notification, location and tracking permissions and the app stores are provided by the operating system and the stores under their own terms.

We do not give your water log to any third party and do not use it for advertising; the only exception is a CSV you export and share yourself.

Drinking reminders are notifications scheduled locally by your phone, and are off by default. They use no push service and need no data sent to any server; actual delivery times are subject to the operating system. You can turn them off at any time in Settings or system settings.

• iPhone: allow or refuse “tracking” in system settings at any time. If you refuse, the app remains fully usable and ads are still shown, but the advertising identifier is not used for personalisation; the IP address, diagnostics and similar data may still be handled under Google’s policies.
• In Settings you can reopen the ad-consent message (where it applies).
• Turn location and notification permissions off in system settings at any time.
• Clear your local data in Settings (scope described above).
• We cannot delete data that a third party has collected under its own policy; please exercise your rights with that operator.

The app is not designed for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided data, please contact us.

When you write to rollitinno@gmail.com, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use it only to reply to and handle your enquiry and keep it for a reasonable period afterwards. You can ask us to delete our correspondence with you.

Local data is stored under your phone’s system protections; the app never asks you for passwords or ID. We hold no server-side user data. Third parties keep what they collect under their own policies.

The app currently has no accounts, station reports or cloud sync. If we add any of these, we will update this policy first, explain the data involved in the app before the feature is switched on, and process it only if you choose to enable it.

This website (h2oh-2026.web.app) is served by Google Firebase Hosting, and Google may log ordinary server access data (such as your IP address and browser details). The pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google can see your IP address. The site stores your language choice in your browser’s local storage, only to remember it; it uses no analytics tools or advertising cookies.

We may update this policy; material changes will be announced in the app or on this site and the date above updated. This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), and personal data is handled in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.
